Vetri Guide is an independent study app. It is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to TNPSC (Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission) or TNUSRB.
1. What we collect
- Account: your name, mobile number, and (optional) email when you sign up.
- Test data: your test attempts, answers, scores, and weak-area analytics — used to personalise practice and rank predictions.
- Device: anonymised crash logs and performance metrics for app stability.
- Subscription: payment receipts (handled by our payment partner Razorpay; we never store full card numbers).
2. How we use your data
- To generate fresh, non-repeating MCQ tests and give you per-subject feedback.
- To translate Tamil questions into English on-the-fly when you switch language.
- To compute rank predictions, percentile bands, and weak-area smart hints.
- To send trial expiry / payment receipts (operational only — no marketing without opt-in).
3. Sharing
We do NOT sell your data. We share data only with: (a) our AI provider to generate tutor responses and translations — only the prompt content is sent, never your account or contact details; (b) payment processors strictly to complete transactions; (c) authorities if compelled by valid Indian law.
4. Storage & retention
Your data is stored on secure MongoDB clusters. Test attempts are retained for 18 months for analytics; you may request earlier deletion (Section 6).
5. Children
The app is intended for users aged 16 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has registered, contact us and we will delete the account.
6. Your rights — access, correction & deletion
Request a copy of your data, correct it, or permanently delete your account inside the app (Profile → Delete account) or by emailing TNPSCTamilApp@gmail.com from your registered address with the subject "Account deletion request". Actioned within 30 days per Indian DPDP rules.
7. Permissions used by the app
- Microphone — only when you tap the mic icon in AI Tutor for voice questions.
- Notifications — study reminders and account updates (optional).
- Internet — to fetch tests, translations and AI responses.
We never access camera, contacts, location or storage without an explicit user action.
8. Changes
We may revise this policy from time to time. Material changes are highlighted in the app and the effective date above is updated.
